Designed together, built in-house
Consultancy and contract design in optical, electronic and mechanical engineering.
Not every measurement has an off-the-shelf answer. Alongside the catalogue, JEK Systems takes on work from a second opinion on an existing design through to an instrument specified, built and tested from scratch. The three disciplines are handled in-house and designed as one, which matters most when the performance you need comes from how the optics, electronics and mechanics interact.

Ways to work together
Design review
A short engagement on a design you already have. Schematics, optical layouts or a noise budget are looked over and you get back a written assessment: what will limit performance, what is likely to cause trouble in build or test, and what to change first.
Subsystem design
A defined block, a detector front end, a control loop, a mount, taken from requirements through to tested hardware, with the design files and test data handed over so you can build more of them yourself.
Complete instrument
Specification to working hardware. Optics, electronics, firmware and mechanics designed as one system, delivered with documentation and a characterisation report against the agreed requirements.
Start a project
Send a short description of what you need to measure or control, along with any constraints you already know about: space, budget, timescale, environment. An initial conversation about scope and feasibility costs nothing. Existing catalogue products can also be modified to order: if something on the Products page is close but not quite right, it is worth asking.
